The route
Day 1 — Reykjavík to Vík
A long, beautiful drive along the South Coast with stops you won’t find on a map.
Day 2 — Skaftafell
Short winter hike to Svartifoss and a briefing on ice cave safety.
Day 3 — Into the ice
Guided ice cave tour with helmets and crampons. Afternoon at Jökulsárlón.
Day 4 — Glacier lagoon
Sunrise on Diamond Beach, aurora watch from the cabin.
Day 5 — Home
Drive back with a stop at a geothermal bakery.
